Entangled

Entangled

In the world of Luminarks, light and darkness were never born as separate forces. They emerged together at the beginning of consciousness, woven into existence like strands of the same living thread. Every soul carried both within them. Every city, every machine, every act of creation contained the tension between the two.

The Ancients called this condition The Entanglement.

The dark current fed on fear, greed, hatred, and isolation. It moved heavily through the world, wrapping itself around wounded minds and convincing them they were alone. The light current moved differently. It reached outward. It sought connection, understanding, and transformation. It did not exist to destroy darkness completely because the two were bound together too deeply to be separated.

Instead, the purpose of light was to pull darkness toward awakening.

In the center of the Luminarks realm stood the Crossing Threads, massive living currents of black and gold energy twisting endlessly around one another. The dark strand constantly resisted, pulling downward with weight and despair. Yet the light never stopped reaching for it. Again and again it wrapped itself around the darkness, attempting to lift it toward clarity.

Travelers who stood before the currents understood an important truth.

Darkness was not the absence of light.

It was light that had forgotten itself.

And so the luminous current continued its endless work, pulling, guiding, and calling the darkness home, believing that even the deepest shadow still carried the memory of illumination within it.
